Any advanced technology, EPA certified appliance.  These include wood stoves, fireplace inserts, advanced factory-built fireplaces and pellet stoves.

Where can I go to see these new stoves and get the discount?
If you live around the Georgian Bay area, visit one of the participating retailers on this list.

Do I have to act soon?
Yes, the discounts are offered until April 30, 2001.

Who is in charge of the changeout program?
The Changeout is organized by the Hearth  Products Association of Canada, the trade association representing companies that manufacture, sell, install and maintain woodburning equipment.  The project is co-sponsored by Environment Canada, Natural Resources Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Environment.  The Ontario Lung Association and Wood Energy Technology Transfer are also participating in the workshops that are associated with the changeout project.
